This last Sunday, May 14th, Coach Keenan hosted the first “Sunday Funday” at 9am at 14201 Huston St, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423, a local park. I guess you could say, we are returning to the Park Side… ha ha. This is going to be a weekly weekend hangout for members – we’ll do some non-gym related physical activity (or, bring your lawn chairs and beers and you can just hang out!) Friends and family members are more than welcome! Parkside member Cindy brought a friend and her son – the more the merrier! Hopefully we’ll see you there next week! ‍-Connor Book a Free Consultation Here Find me on instagram @connorgreen3000 and the gym @sparkfitnessla Find me on YouTube here @connorgreen3000 and the gym here @sparkfitnessla

Connor Green here. Owner of Spark Fitness with your daily dose of…things you need to know!! (You can learn more about me here.) ‍If I had a dollar for every time someone told me they needed to start going to the gym before they go to CrossFit… I’d have way more than a few dollars. Firstly, that’s not true. You don’t need to be in shape before you start CrossFit. Come exactly as you are. Now, I totally believe that many people that believe you have to be in shape to start have probably had a bad experience at a CrossFit gym before. Picture it: you are just starting. You go and try a class. No one knows a thing about your background. So the “coach” pushes you throughout the workout. You barely make it – but maybe it felt good to work that hard. But then… the next day. You’re...

What’s up everyone – good afternoon and welcome to today’s edition of “Something You Didn’t Know You Needed to Know”, with your host, Owner of Spark Fitness, Connor Green. ‍Today I’m writing a simple guide to the “PR”. ‍What it Stands for: PR stands for “personal record”, and it DOES NOT stand for Public Relations. Well maybe it does. But not here. I’ve heard “PB” said a bunch, which stands for “personal best” – but that’s more commonly said overseas so, does it really matter? What it is: A personal record is a mark of improvement in the gym in one of any number of ways. It could be that you lifted more weight than you ever have – like maybe you benched 150 this time and last time you did 145. It could be that you did more reps than you ever have. Say this time you did 10 reps of...

Hello everyone! Connor here. If you didn’t already know, I own Spark Fitness. You can learn more about me here. Today I’m going to outline what an AMAZING weight loss program looks like. In a future blog I’m going to illustrate in detail what a terrible weight loss program looks like… Here are the cliff notes: What everyone thinks is a weight loss program: intense cardio 5, 6 7 days per week. That is a remarkably bad strategy for weight loss, and it’s what everyone tries to do. I wrote another piece about that here. Here is an amazing weight loss program that we have given to hundreds of people with 100% effectiveness, while hardly being sore, having plenty of time for yourself, and never getting injured: sleeping 8 hours per night. drinking lots of water. swapping out junk food for fruits, vegetables, and protein sources. Removing key stressors from your life. Strength...

Hello everyone on the internet! ‍My name is Connor Green and I own Spark Fitness in North Hollywood, California! I’ll keep this short and simple.  I had 7 surgeries by the time I was 20. Cancer, blood clot – you name it! I almost died, but made it through everything, and… my body was pretty messed up.  I became obsessed with getting back to normal function – and then high function – and in that process I started helping other people.  And now… here I am! 16 years of coaching later, doing what I love on a daily basis.  I used to hate my body very deeply. I was almost 6ft 3, 150lbs (skinny as a rail) and CONSTANTLY in terrible pain. But it turns out, everything I went through and all the mistakes I made are exactly what make our fitness program so special! I wasn’t just gifted and always...
