At Spark Fitness in North Hollywood, CA, empower your teen with our Teen Powerlifting program. This is for Teens of all strength levels and lifting experience, aged 13-17. Designed to support the health, strength, and well-being of teenagers, our program offers a fun and motivating environment. Powerlifting is the best way to get strong, and increase sports performance.
Benefits of Our Teen Powerlifting Program
Spark Fitness’s Teen Powerlifting provides a dynamic and supportive environment tailored to the needs of adolescents. Our program focuses on building strength, improving fitness, and promoting healthy habits through fun and interactive workouts. With guidance from our experienced Strength Coaches, teens will develop important physical skills, enhance their confidence, and learn how to maintain an active lifestyle. This can be done as a hobby, competitively (we host and attend multiple meets per year), and/or to support athletic performance in other sports!
General Fitness and Confidence
Getting strong is a true super power, and teens are in the best place of their lives to do it!
General Fitness: Strength training (ie, Powerlifting) has a tremendous full body impact on fitness, health, and overall athletic ability. It develops speed, balance, stability, flexibility, and builds a tremendous amount of core strength.
Confidence: Powerlifting requires you to do something you’re not sure you can do, while being scared to try… everyday. This is a powerful life lesson that breeds confidence. There are also significant aesthetic improvements that take place through lifting! Strength training is really irreplaceable.
Hobby or Competition
Your teen can powerlift jus for hobby by spending time coming to the gym and lifting for the health, confidence, and fun benefits! We also host multiple powerlifting meets per year, and attend meets at other gyms for competitions. Teens and parents looking to get into a new sport and all the benefits that come with it – responsibility, social interaction, life lessons, physical development, fun – have found their home at Spark Fitness!
Sports Performance For Teens
Your Teen can do powerlifting as a sport, or can use the strength and muscle building benefits to get better a different sport. The best way to get faster, stronger, more explosive, and more athletic is by building stronger ligaments/tendons, muscles, and bones through proper strength training and powerlifting! Super Bowl winning Quarterback of the Philidelphia Eagles, was a high school powerlifting champ!
Options for Starting your Teen in Powerlifting
Personal Training: We start all new teen lifters with our Foundations of Powerlifting program, where they work 1:1 with a Strength Coach that has competed in Powerlifting. We teach them the fundamentals of lifting that will set them up for a lifetime of safe weightlifting. When the Foundations is over, your Teen can transfer into the Group Powerlifting, or can continue working 1:1 with their Strength Coach.
Small Group Powerlifting: After they complete their foundations, they can joint the group and start training with everyone else. If they have already competed in a meet, they can skip the foundations and join the group right away.
